BEYOND NW: Ascot Races
A clever idea at the races…
…we went to Ascot last weekend, got dressed up all posh, enjoyed the sunshine, lost lots of money, all tried on some brilliant 50s style specs, and generally had a good time. While the boys were drinking beers, I pottered over to the fabulous Wondering Wine van, a cool silver 50s style American trailer offering bottles of wine and champagne, decanted into great plastic decanters and served in a cardbpard box complete with ice and two stemless glasses. I love a well-thought out idea and this was genius, we could pick a spot on the grass, keep the wine cool and put our wine glasses down without worrying about spilling them. Anyway, if you see them at an event you’re at over the summer, potter and say hi. The bar staff are awfully friendly, the wine’s good and it’s well priced.
