LIVE: Little surprises…

We finally got the keys to our adorable country cottage on Friday. R was working, so Mummy and I headed over there to unload our very packed car and get settled in. As we’re not properly moving down till the end of April I wasn’t expecting to be able to do much, and certainly not to have any furniture much to speak of, but it seemed that some little house fairies had been there the day before with plenty of surprises and little touches all over the house that made moving day all that more special.

Flowers, gifts, Champagne and logs for the fire, along with a table, a chair and a stool greeted me in the sitting room…

As well as a tiny window sill of tulip candles…

A bread bin (from Aunt Fiona) and some little ceramic glasses were hiding in the kitchen…

In the dining room I discovered not only the most beautiful-smelling basket of hyacinths and tete a tetes but that Daddy had managed to wrestle a very heavy dining table into the back of his car and bring it over in time for moving day….

While the study revealed some very colourful tulips…

And finally upstairs in the bedroom was another bunch of flowers and more pressies…

Thank you to the little moving fairies for making moving day such a surprise and a treat….
