LOVE: Last hurrah to London (Day 1)

Easter weekend usually means lots of delicious time off, lie-ins, pottering around London, doing all our favourite things and enjoying some early Spring sunshine. Luckily, this weekend, it’s no different! And even if we are doing many of these things for the last time, (s0b!) it’s been lots of fun already.

We started in John Lewis – for some buggy shopping – Richard tried out a new look –  ‘Modern Man with Buggy’ – I think he rocked it….

Then we headed to the John Lewis Food Hall and bought some Easter eggs for each other to add to our rather sweet Easter collection, which includes one of the hallowed, limited edition Claridge’s easter eggs, given to me by a contact when we had breakfast last week (another last work perk!)…

Then we headed to a wine bar Richard had found with some friends from his wine course – a gorgeous hidden gem in Neal’s Yard with cute decor, fab wines and little plates of salami and cheese. It was the perfect place to start our evening out…. (and only made me a little bit sad that we hadn’t found it earlier…!)

Then it was on to our favourite restaurant, Terroirs, for some fantastic French food, and more wonderful French wine (mostly for Richard!)…

It was a perfect day, and a lovely evening, great food, as always, and we even saw a couple ordering the same wine we had drunk on our very first evening there – La Peche Abuse – which is what made us fall in love with the restaurant in the first place (we worked out we’ve been to Terroirs at least 12 times in four years), and it seemed strangely full-circle…

Next Up: Day 2 – including walks in the park, curry, gastro pubs and the Hampstead Butcher. Yay!
